HOW TO ORDER

If you are interested in having a Pet Portrait done, contact me via email so I can answer any questions you may have and confirm basic information, as well as give you mailing information for me.

After deciding on what medium or style Portrait you would like, you can order by sending me a Request Form and photographs of your subject (check out tips for photographing your pet). You can send standard photographs or digital images on a CD, using TIFF, JPEG, BMP. Don’t worry, all your prints will be returned with the finished portrait!

In the request, the following information is required:
• Portrait size you prefer
• Style (Oils, Pen /Ink, etc.)
• Your pet’s name and breed
• Number of poses/pets
• Colors, style of background
• Your contact information: Include your address and phone number. It is easier for me to communicate through email, so please include your email address. Also, if the Portrait is a gift for someone, please let me know if there is someone I should NOT speak to about it.
(wouldn’t want to ruin the surprise ).
• Photographs of your pet.
• 50% deposit in either a check or money order via regular mail. You can also use Pay Pal.

Your Pet Portrait comes with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. I have never had one returned piece of artwork, but rest assured that your money will be fully refunded (less shipping/insurance/handling charges) if you are not tickled with your Portrait. I do require that you return any artwork within 21 days of receipt if you should decide you are not happy with it. It is a huge commitment on my part to start working on a Portrait, so I do require a 50% deposit before starting. I will send you an email attachment of a digital photo of your finished Portrait for your final approval before sending it to you. After I get your go-ahead, I will need the balance due plus shipping and handling charges. After I receive this and any checks clear the bank, I will send the Portrait to you.

A word about timing: My work load varies throughout the year, with pre-Christmas being extremely busy. If you are planning on purchasing a Portrait for a Christmas gift, it is wise to get your order in as early as possible. I will always do the best I can to work within your schedule if it is for other occasions, but I can also issue you a lovely “gift is coming” certificate to give to your loved one if needed. Please check information with each medium for estimates on time needed to complete.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

After I get your photos, I will email you to let you know I received them. At that time, I will tell you how far out I am booked so you will have an idea of the timetable. If the timing is agreeable, and if your photos are clear enough for me to work from and you have sent your deposit, I will begin your Portrait. I will then send you the first layout sketches for your approval by email attachment. After getting your OK, I’ll start painting. Once you approve the final painting, I will send it to you as soon as I receive the final payment plus shipping, handling and insurance.

Again, I make every effort to make each client happy with their commissioned artwork, and have never had any work returned, but if you should for whatever reason decide you are not satisfied, I will give you 100% refund (less shipping, handling, and insurance charges). Please contact me within 21 days of shipment if you should decide you are not happy with the work.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Please do not ask me to paint any licensed patterns for you. I wouldn't want anyone using my work, and besides, it is illegal!!

If you send professional photos of your pet, I can only use them if you have a signed release form from the photographer giving permission to use their work.
